“She just wants to be beautiful
She goes unnoticed, she knows no limits
She craves attention, she praises an image
She prays to be sculpted by the sculptor
Oh, she don’t see the light that’s shining
Deeper than the eyes can find it
Maybe we have made her blind
So she tries to cover up her pain and cut her woes away
‘Cause cover girls don’t cry after their face is made” -Alessia Cara
My sleep schedule is so off it is horrific. The more on my mind the less I sleep. What a crazy few weeks this has been. I long for a point that everything is calm again. Hopefully that is coming.
Labor day was uneventful and rainy here. We had a small family cook out on Sunday but nothing big and it rained, so no fire. It is official, little bean has begun Middle School and so far, the honeymoon period has been ok with her. No major problems outside of her moodiness. The doctor has increased her medication and everything seems to be working well. She has had no homework so that makes her equally happy.
I wish I could be a kid again! I don’t want to adult. Lately, she comments that she wants to grow up and I remember thinking the same thing. Of course, she doesn’t understand why I tell her not to rush things. We are awake by 6 AM for her bus at 6:55. I don’t remember being that early to school but she is home earlier. She thinks it’s great, but doesn’t realize she is in school the same amount of time as last year just her schedule is shifted.
It’s hard because I feel like often fate is against me and changing my perspective is hard. I mostly hide away and do my own thing. I know there is a light at the end of the tunnel I just need to fight tooth and nail to get there. I guess that is why people think I am strong. I don’t feel like it but I guess I see it more now. No matter how much I want to give up, I still push on and overcome whatever I have to. Even with no one to lean on, I keep on swimming. Like Dory says in Finding Nemo.
Just Keep Swimming
Coffee Chaos: International Delight has a peanut butter cup creamer. If you buy it, ONLY USE A TINY BIT! Too much and it has a weird taste.
Weekly WTF: This state is insane with penalties and taxes. Seriously. This is horrible.
School Daze: New class has begun and I LOVE LOVE LOVE the instructor. I am looking forward to less stress in this course. ( 6 classes left)
Weather Woes: Florida and the South East coast, be careful! Irma is nasty and Jose is on it’s way to becoming big. Stay safe!
FYI: In case of a major storm like the hurricanes, put valuables and paperwork in the dishwasher. It is dry in there and your valuables will be safe in case of flooding from what someone told me!
Press Play: Listen or read the lyrics to Alessia Cara – Scars to Your Beautiful…awesome lyrics
